Privacy Policy

01Who we are

Sokko ApS (“Sokko”, “we”, “us”) is an independent game studio registered in Denmark. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

02What this policy covers

This policy covers the sokko.io website and the games and apps we publish, unless a specific game comes with its own privacy policy. If a game has its own policy, that policy applies to the game and this one applies to everything else.

03Data we collect on this website

We keep this website deliberately simple. It has no user accounts, no contact forms, no advertising, no analytics, and it does not set tracking cookies.

Like almost every website, our hosting infrastructure may briefly process technical data — such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request — in server logs. This happens automatically in order to deliver the site and keep it secure, and such logs are kept only for a short period.

04Data in our games

We design our games to collect as little personal data as possible. Depending on the game and platform, the following may apply:

• Purchases. If you buy one of our games or make an in-app purchase, the transaction is handled by the platform (for example Apple’s App Store). We do not receive your payment details — at most, we receive anonymized receipts needed to deliver what you bought.
• Diagnostics. The platform may share crash reports and performance data with us, subject to the choices you have made in your device settings. We use this data only to fix bugs and improve our games.
• Game progress. Your progress and settings are normally stored on your device, or in your personal platform account (for example iCloud), which we cannot access.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising. If a specific game collects anything beyond the above, we will say so clearly in that game’s store listing and inside the game.

05Legal bases

Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we process personal data on the following bases: our legitimate interest in operating and securing our website and games (Art. 6(1)(f)), the performance of a contract when you purchase something (Art. 6(1)(b)), your consent where required (Art. 6(1)(a)), and compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)).

06Sharing

We share data only with service providers who help us run our website and games — such as hosting providers and app platforms — and only as needed for them to provide their services. We may also disclose data where required by law. We never sell personal data.

07Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as long as the law requires, and then delete or anonymize it.

08Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of your personal data, to restrict or object to our processing of it, to data portability, and to withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@sokko.io.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), www.datatilsynet.dk.

09Children

Our games are made to be enjoyed by everyone, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

10Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the updated version on this page with a new effective date. Meaningful changes will be highlighted where reasonable.
